The Black Watch kilt was first worn by the independent companies of the Scottish Regiment. These soldiers were distinctively attired in tartan consisting mostly of dark greens and blues, and were designated or Black Watch, from the somber appearance of their dress. The daunting Black Watch Regiment was later dubbed, "Ladies from Hell."

Buzz Kidder's Black Watch Kilt is designed with a functional fit and hand-crafted for ultimate durability. The 10-oz. full body rayon-blend is perfect for any season and hangs well of any Scotsman. The Black Watch kilt is sewn in the traditional style. Each perma-pleat is fully machine-stitched for life long quality. The Black Watch Kilt has a lining, a tailor-finished waist and a knee-length tailored hem. The Black Watch kilts have two buckles resembling the traditional styling. Standard kilt length is 22.5 inches. Adjustments to the length can be made no extra cost. Please specify necessary length adjustments in half-inch increments when ordering kilt. Custom length may add to delivery time. The Black Watch Kilt has oversized belt loops to accommodate our highland-style belts. These kilts have black leather straps and buckles on both sides of the waist. For the best custom fit, tightly measure in inches around waist at belly button.
